Easy Access Sliding Entrance-ways at Wythenshawe Park Horticultural Centre. June 2014

I was commissioned by The Horticultural Friends Society to deliver new easy access entrances to the centre. We opted for sliding doors that would open up completely during the day and close easily when required. I had an artistic vision for the doors, and working with Tim Lomas from Little Green Builders, we were able to create exactly what I had in mind. Both doors looked fantastic when they were finished, the jungle leaf design of the wooden fret work is visible right down the pathway from one end to the other. I really enjoyed creating these signature entrance-ways to the Horticultural Centre and feel the design is a lovely reflection of the rich flora in the glasshouses. A local artist has painted the walls around the new doors in line with the jungle theme of the centre.
